Registration paths

Registration paths let you show different ticket types to different audience segments, such as Members vs Guests or Speakers vs Attendees, on the same event.

Registration paths split your registration form into audience-specific views. Each path is a segment, such as Members, Guests, or Speakers, and each one shows only the ticket types you've assigned to it. When an attendee arrives at registration, they pick which group they belong to before they see any tickets.

When to use paths

Reach for paths when the same event has different groups of attendees who should see different tickets, and you don't want one group seeing the other group's options. Members get the comp ticket and the workshop add-on; Guests don't see the comp at all and pay full price. Speakers get a Speakers-only registration; Attendees never see it.

Create a path

Open your event, go to the Paths tab, and select New path. The form asks for:

  • Name, required: what attendees see on the path picker, for example "Members", "Guests", or "Speakers".
  • Slug, required: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
  • Description, optional: shown under the path name on the picker, so attendees know which group they fit into.
  • Icon, optional: a lucide icon name, such as Crown or Mic. The registration wizard renders it next to the path name if it recognizes the icon.
  • Default path: the path selected first when an attendee lands on the registration page. Pick whichever is your most common audience.
  • Visible: controls whether the path appears on the public picker. See “Turning a path off” below before you use this for anything more than tidying up an old path.

Assigning tickets to a path

Ticket assignment lives on the path, not on the ticket. Open a path from the Paths tab and scroll to Tickets on this path: it lists every ticket type on the event, and you check the ones that should appear when this path is selected. A ticket can belong to multiple paths.

What the attendee sees

If your event has two or more visible paths, the registration wizard adds a path picker as the first step. The attendee chooses a path, then sees only the tickets assigned to that path, plus any unassigned tickets. The default path is preselected.

If your event has one visible path, or none, the picker is skipped entirely and the wizard starts at ticket selection like a normal event.

Turning a path off

Toggling Visible off removes the path from the public picker, and removes it from the registration page entirely: there is currently no way for an attendee to reach a hidden path directly. Use this to retire a path once you no longer need it, for example after a promo window closes, not to run a private, invite-only segment.

Deleting a path removes it from the picker the same way. Existing registrations on that path keep their assignment, and any tickets that referenced it stay linked but become unfilterable by path.

What paths don't (yet) do

Paths gate ticket-type visibility per audience today. They don't yet drive different registration questions per audience segment: if Speakers and Attendees need different questions, the workaround is separate Speakers-only ticket types with their own question set, configured on the Custom questions tab.
