Event formats

Events offers three event formats: Simple, Multi Day, and Advanced. You pick one when you create the event, and it determines which features are available: sessions, talent, registration paths, badges, and more are all gated behind the format you choose.

Simple

A single-session event. Available on every plan, including Free. Covers most events: workshops, fundraisers, classes, panel discussions. You get ticket types, discount and access codes, custom questions and attestations, a public event page, and check-in, kiosk, and analytics tools.

Multi Day

Sessions, tracks, talent, and multi-day scheduling. Suitable for workshops, summits, and multi-day programs. Everything in Simple, plus:

• Sessions, schedule, and talent.
• Badge design and printing.
• Price tiers, for early-bird and late-registration pricing.

Advanced

Sub-events, each with its own programming, plus registration paths for steering different audiences to different tickets and questions. Suitable for multi-track conferences and events with distinct audience segments. Everything in Multi Day, plus:

• Linked events, each with their own programming and microsite section.
• Registration paths.

Upgrading and what a locked format looks like

Formats your plan doesn't include show a Pro badge in the format picker and are disabled. An upgrade link underneath takes you to your account's billing settings.

Once an event exists, its format can be upgraded (Simple to Multi Day, or up to Advanced) if your plan covers the target format. Downgrades aren't supported once features tied to the higher format are in use.
