Event website

Custom builder

Design your event's public page block by block, with your own layout, colours, fonts, and extra pages.

The custom builder gives you an empty canvas: add your own blocks, control the layout, set colours and fonts, and add extra pages beyond the standard schedule and speaker pages.

Opting in

From the basic website editor, click Build a custom site and confirm. Your existing description carries over, and switching is reversible: a Switch to the basic site button in the custom builder's Settings panel drops you back to the basic layout without deleting your custom work. Come back to the custom builder any time and your sections are still there.

Where the editor lives

The custom builder is a standalone, full-screen editor. It opens in a new browser tab so your event stays open behind it, and a back arrow in its toolbar returns you to the event when you're done.

The editor layout

An icon rail on the left switches between six panels:

  • Blocks: add a new section to the page you're on.
  • Design: your colour palette.
  • Typography: fonts and type scale.
  • Properties: corner-radius controls for images, cards, and buttons.
  • Settings: header logo, custom code, and search engine optimization.
  • Pages: manage the pages on your site.

Colours, fonts, and type scale are covered in Design and typography. Search engine optimization is covered in Social cards.

A device toggle in the top bar switches the canvas between desktop and mobile widths, and a page switcher next to it lists Home plus every page you've added.

Adding blocks

Click a block in the Blocks panel to append it to the page. Blocks are grouped by category: Hero, Features, Stats, Conversion, Social Proof, Media, Basic, Content, Embeds, and Event Data. Several block types come in multiple variants, for example a split, centred, overlay, or minimal hero, or a rich-text block set to columns, stats, or pricing.

Event Data blocks, such as Tickets, Organizer, Speakers, Schedule, Sponsors, and Venue Map, pull directly from the event's own records. You don't fill these in by hand: add the block and it fills itself in as the underlying data changes.

Drag a block by its handle to reorder it, and use the eye icon to hide a block without deleting it.

Pages

The Pages panel manages the pages on your site: Home, four built-in pages, and any custom pages you add.

The four built-in pages, Schedule, Speakers, Partners, and Venue, each have an on/off switch and a rename field. They render your event's own data and aren't built from blocks, so there's nothing to design on them beyond the label.

Custom pages are yours to add: give one a name, and it appears in the page switcher and, if you leave Show in nav on, in the site navigation too. Custom pages accept rich-text and call-to-action blocks, which is enough for a sponsor prospectus, a code of conduct, or anything else that doesn't need the full landing-page block set. Reorder pages with the up and down arrows, and delete one when you no longer need it.

Draft and publish

Everything you do in the custom builder, from adding a block to changing a colour, lands in a draft first. Save draft keeps your work without changing what attendees see. Publish takes a snapshot of the draft and makes it live.

Unpublish takes the page offline while keeping your last snapshot, so re-publishing later is instant.

Plan availability

On some plans the custom builder requires the Pro tier. If it's locked on your account, the basic website still covers every event with no setup required.
