Curriculum
The Curriculum tab of a mentorship program holds the learning material participants work through. You add modules (the top-level groupings), fill each one with items (readings, videos, tasks, and links), set who each module is visible to, and publish a module to make it visible.
Open a program, then select Curriculum in the program sidebar. Curriculum is part of the Mentorship module, so it appears only when Mentorship is enabled for your account.
Adding a module
The add-module bar at the top of the tab has two inputs and a button:
- New module: the module title (for example,
Week 1: Getting started). Required. The Add module button stays disabled until you type a title, and a submitted empty title returns "Give the module a title." - Visible to: who the module is for: Both (the default), Mentees, or Mentors. A module set to one role reaches only participants enrolled in that role.
Select Add module to create it. New modules start unpublished, so nothing reaches participants until you turn the module on. The new module appears in the list below the bar, ready for items.
Adding items to a module
Each module has its own add-item form. Fill in the item, then select Add item. The form has these fields:
- Item title: required. A submitted item with no title returns "Give the item a title."
- Type: one of Reading (the default), Video, Task, or Link. The type is a label shown on the item row; it does not change how the resource opens.
- Resource URL: optional. A link to the document, video, or page the item points to. When set, it shows on the item row.
- Body / notes: optional free text for instructions or context that accompanies the item.
Publishing a module
Each module card has a Published switch in its header. Turning it on marks the module as published; only published modules reach participants. Turning it off hides the module again without removing it or its items. You can author and revise a module while it is unpublished, then publish when it is ready.
The Curriculum tab always shows every module, published and unpublished, so the operator view is the complete syllabus. The module header also displays its Visible to role beneath the title.
Deleting modules and items
The trash icon in a module header deletes the whole module; the trash icon on an item row deletes that single item. Both remove the entry from the Curriculum tab right away.
What participants see
A module reaches a participant, in the Curriculum section of their portal, only when both conditions hold: it is published, and its Visible to role matches the participant. A module set to Both reaches mentors and mentees; one set to Mentees or Mentors reaches only that role. Modules are ordered by their sort order, and items appear in their own order within each module.
