Reviewing applicants
Every application starts in progress and ends in one of three terminal states: hired, rejected or withdrawn. While in progress, it moves through the pipeline stages defined by the posting's hiring workflow, such as review, interview and decision stages, in order.
Move an application through the pipeline
From an applicant's detail page you can move them to the next stage in the workflow, jump them to a specific stage or set a terminal state directly: Hired, Rejected or Withdrawn. The applicant detail page also has tabs for their answers, uploaded files, your internal notes and an activity log of everything that's happened on the application.
Marking an applicant Hired is what makes the Send offer action available. See Sending offers for what happens next.
The validity score
Every submission gets a validity score from 0 to 100, shown as a colored ring on the applicant's page: green at 80 and above, amber from 50 to 79 and red below that. This score is a set of automatic quality checks run at the moment someone submits, not a judgment of the candidate. Signals include how quickly the form was filled out, whether the name looks like test data, whether the email is from a disposable-address domain, whether a resume was attached and whether the applicant's location matches the posting's target area when you've set one.
Hovering the score shows exactly which signals raised or lowered it, so a low score is never a mystery.
AI fit analysis
Separately from the validity score, the Intelligence tab on an applicant can run an AI analysis that reads the application, resume included, against the job posting and against your organization's analysis framework: a rubric of scoring criteria you define once under Settings > Hiring > Analysis. Each posting can also carry its own extra guidance for the AI to weigh alongside that framework.
The analysis produces an overall fit score out of 100, a score and rationale for each criterion in your framework, a short written summary and two or three recommended next actions, such as scheduling a screen. It runs automatically on submission when a posting has auto-analyze turned on, or you can trigger it manually from the applicant page at any time.
Analysis is metered
Each AI analysis run counts against a monthly allotment for your workspace, tracked separately for the standard and advanced model tiers. Settings > Hiring > Usage shows how much of your allotment you've used this billing cycle. Once you're past your included allotment, further analyses need an overage cap set on your account or they're blocked with a message telling you your monthly allotment is used.
