Mentions and embeds

What ties docs to your projects is that a doc can reference live work, not a copy of it. Mention a work item and it renders as a status chip that always shows the item's current state. Embed a board or table and it renders live, editable right where it's embedded.

Mentioning something

Type @ and keep typing to search. You can mention a work item, a person on your account, another doc, or a contact. A work item mention shows its key, title, and a status dot; click it to open the item.

Embedding a live board or table

Click Embed in the doc's toolbar and choose View, then pick one of your saved views. The embedded board or table is fully live: statuses update for every viewer in real time, and dragging an item to a new column inside the doc moves it on the real board too, through the same action the board itself uses.

Narrowing an embedded view

An embed can add its own extra filter and title on top of the saved view it points to, without changing the saved view itself. That lets you embed the same view twice in different docs (or twice in one doc) narrowed two different ways, e.g. the same board filtered to a different assignee in each spot.

Embedding other Mercleo data

If your account has other Mercleo areas set up, the Embed picker also offers an event overview card or registration dashboard, a read-only sales pipeline board, an account-level marketing overview, or live contact-list counts. These read-only embeds only appear for the areas your account actually uses.
