Backlog and sprints

Backlog and sprints share one page: sprint sections stack at the top (active sprint first, then future sprints), with the backlog last. Drag a row between sections to move it in or out of a sprint.

Creating a sprint

Click New sprint to add a future sprint with a name and a date range. Each sprint section's header shows its date range and its item count and point total.

Starting and closing a sprint

A sprint's header carries Start and Close controls, and an Edit action for its name and dates.

Moving items between sprints and the backlog

Drag a row from the backlog into a sprint section, or between two sprints, to move it. There's no per-row sprint dropdown; the section a row sits in is its sprint assignment.

Filtering and bulk edits

Filters and multi-select span every section on the page, not a single sprint. Select rows across the backlog and multiple sprints and use the bulk action bar to change status, assignee, priority, sprint, or label together.

Projects without sprints

A Kanban-template project starts with sprints off. Turn sprints off from project settings and the sprint sections collapse: every item, sprinted or not, shows in one Backlog section, and New sprint is hidden. This suits continuous-flow work that leans on the board and WIP limits instead of sprint cycles.
