Pricing

Pricing, in the course sidebar, sets whether this one course is free or sold. Every course defaults to free.

The page is split in two: the course's own price on the left, and a read-only view of the account-wide requirements a paid course depends on, on the right.

Free or paid

Switch a course to Paid and a price and currency field appear. Currency defaults to CAD or USD, or you can type any three-letter code.

Promo pricing

A paid course can carry one promo: a percentage off, with an optional start and end date. Leave the dates blank and the promo runs indefinitely once it's saved. A promo needs a price to discount; you can't save one on a course with no price set.

While you're setting a promo, the card shows a live preview of the discounted price and whether the promo is currently Active, Scheduled, or Expired, based on the dates you've entered.

Sales prerequisites

The right side of the page lists three account-wide requirements every paid course on your account shares:

  • Tax configured: your tax label and rate, including an explicit "I don't collect tax."
  • Refund policy set: the policy text shown to buyers.
  • Payments connected: a Stripe account enabled for the account to settle into.

These three rows are informational, a wayfinder pointing at Learning's Settings tab, where each one is actually managed. They aren't the authority on whether this course can publish: the Publish page runs the real check, and repeats the same three requirements there.

What's next

With pricing set, move on to Publishing to put the course live. For the account-wide settings themselves, see Storefront.
