Creating courses

Learning lets you author courses for the people your business serves: modules and lessons you build once and enroll people into as many times as you like. Every course starts as a draft, and you set its structure, price, and audience before publishing it.

A course can be self-paced, where participants move through it on their own schedule and can enroll any time, or live-taught, where sessions run on a calendar. Live sessions wrap events you've already created: a lesson can point at an existing event instead of duplicating it inside Learning.

The course list

Opening Learning shows the course list: a card for each course with its status, lesson count, price (or Free), learner count, revenue collected, and when it was last updated. A New course button sits above the list.

Four tabs sit above the course list:

• Courses: the list you land on, one card per course.
• Learners: everyone enrolled in any of your courses, across the whole account.
• Sales: an account-wide order ledger for every paid course, filterable by course and status.
• Settings: account-wide options that apply to every course, including topics and sales settings.

Create a course

Select New course to open the setup form. It's a single page in four parts.

Basics collects the course's title, its URL slug, a one-line summary shown in the course list and the portal catalog, and a longer description shown to enrolled participants. The slug derives from the title automatically; you can edit it before creating the course, but not after.

Delivery sets how the course runs:

• Self-paced: participants move at their own pace and can enroll any time.
• Scheduled: runs on a calendar. You set start, end, and enrollment-deadline dates, and everyone moves through it together.
• Blended: a scheduled spine with self-paced content between sessions.

Classification lets you assign one or more topics (managed from Learning's Settings tab), an optional level (Introductory, Intermediate, or Advanced), and an optional estimated completion time in hours.

Visibility decides who can find the course once it's published: Portal lists it in the participant portal catalog, where people can self-enroll. Unlisted hides it from the catalog; only people you enroll directly can see it.

What happens next

Every new course is created as a draft. Creating it takes you straight into Curriculum, where you add modules and lessons. A draft course has no page in the portal, so nothing is visible to participants until you publish it.
