Your portal on your own domain

A custom domain is not a portal-only setting. It attaches to your whole Mercleo workspace, and every product you use, including the portal, is served from it in place of your default yourslug.app.mercleo.com subdomain. You set it once, from your Mercleo Account, not from inside the portal itself.

Is it included in your plan

Custom domains are included from the Growth tier up. On a lower tier, Settings → Domain shows a note that the feature unlocks on Growth instead of the attachment form. The Default URLs card above it, showing your current yourslug.app.mercleo.com address for each product, is always visible regardless of plan.

Add your domain

  1. In your Mercleo Account, go to Settings → Domain.
  2. Enter the hostname you want to use, for example portal.example.com. A subdomain on a domain you already control works best.
  3. Select Add domain. You'll get the DNS records to set with your provider.

Point DNS at Mercleo

You'll be given a TXT record to prove you own the domain, and a routing record: a CNAME if you used a subdomain, or an A record if you used a bare apex domain. Add both with your DNS provider. There's nothing further to do after that, the page checks the record itself in the background every 20 seconds and flips to Verified once it sees it; you can also press Verify to check immediately.

Remove a domain

On the Domain settings page, select Remove next to your current domain. Your workspace falls back to its default Mercleo subdomain immediately.
