Careers siteBranding

It should stop looking like our software. A logo, two colours, four colour areas, and a different banner image on each screen, plus the choice of which parts of the Hub exist at all.

Two colours, not one. Because a button and a keyboard outline aren’t the same job.

A colour for what people press, a separate one for the keyboard outline, and four more underneath for page, card, sidebar and header.

  • Your logo, on the careers pages and on the apply form
  • A primary colour for the things people press
  • And a separate accent for the outline keyboard users follow
  • Page, card, sidebar and header colours, each set on its own

A different picture on each screen. Because they’re different moments.

Each of the three screens gets its own hero, its own tint strength, or a quote instead of a photograph where a picture isn’t the point.

  • A hero image (the big picture at the top) on each screen
  • The careers list, the apply page and sign-in, set separately
  • A tint over it, in the colour and strength you choose, so the words stay readable
  • Or a quote with attribution, where a photograph isn’t the point
  • And a tagline on the apply page, in its own colour

And which parts exist at all. Openings, applications, profile: your call.

Turn a section off and it is gone, not hidden behind a permission. Set where the Hub opens when somebody arrives, and whether they can see what they applied for last year.

  • Choose which sections exist: openings, applications, profile
  • Decide where the Hub opens when somebody arrives
  • Show past applications, or keep the view to live ones
  • A setting you never touch keeps its sensible default

Where the branding stops. Three real limits.

It is a Mercleo subdomain

The Hub lives on a Mercleo subdomain reserved for you, not at careers.yourdomain.ca. Everything on the page is yours; the address bar still says Mercleo.

Colours and images, not CSS

You control the logo, the two colours, the four surfaces, the heroes and the copy. There is no stylesheet injection and no custom font, which is also why it cannot be broken by a bad paste.

One brand per organization

Branding is set at the organization, not per posting. A single posting cannot wear different colours from the rest of your careers site.

Yours, end to end

The sidebar, the hero, the cards and the button, all set by you, on a page that never says whose software it is.

What you publish onto it

The brand wraps it. The postings fill it.

What a posting carries

Your logo, a primary colour and a separate accent, a hero image per surface with the overlay tint and strength you choose, your own sign-in wording, an apply-page tagline in its own colour, and the colours of the page, cards, sidebar and header. It is meant to stop looking like our software.

Because the colour you want on a button is rarely the colour you want on the outline that appears when somebody moves through the page with the keyboard. Keeping them separate means you can pick a brand colour without accidentally deciding what a keyboard user sees.

Yes. Heroes are per surface: the careers list, the apply page and the sign-in screen each get their own, because the moment somebody is signing in is a different moment from the one where they are browsing openings.

Yes. Openings, applications and profile are each optional, and you set where somebody lands when they arrive. If you only want the Hub to be a place people track applications, that is a configuration rather than a workaround.

Not today. The Hub sits on a Mercleo subdomain. Everything on the page is yours, but the address is not, and we would rather say so than let you find out during a launch.

No. What you get is a defined set of controls (logo, two colours, four surfaces, three heroes, the copy) and no stylesheet of your own. That is a real limit, and it is also why nobody can break the apply form with a bad paste.

Make it look like you. The beta is open now.
